About Us

Thiruvalluvar Teachers Education College

Thiruvalluvar Teachers Education College (TTEC), located in Kurinjipadi, Cuddalore District, was established in 2014 by the Shree Jayaganapathi Educational Trust, with a mission to uplift rural communities through quality teacher education. The Trust itself was founded in 1996, with a vision to serve one of the most educationally backward areas in Tamil Nadu.

TTEC is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with Registration No. F.No.SRCAPP1920/B.Ed/TN/2015/65716, and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), bearing the affiliation number TNTEU/R/Affn/B.Ed(N)/Inspn/2015/973. The college offers an Undergraduate Degree in Education (B.Ed) and operates as a self-financing institution under the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Our institution primarily serves first-generation learners, economically weaker sections, and students from marginalized communities including orphans, semi-orphans, and the differently-abled. We are deeply rooted in moral values, with a strong commitment to social justice and inclusive education.

TTEC is equipped with well-furnished buildings, modern infrastructure, and a dedicated team of faculty members who strive to instill both academic excellence and strong character formation. We provide a wide range of opportunities to help student-teachers discover their potential—intellectually, physically, and morally.

At Thiruvalluvar Teachers Education College, we believe that true education begins with inspiration. We aim to prepare teachers who lead with values, teach with passion, and bring meaningful change to society.
